Here at our Club you'll find everyone is just good Down Home, Friendly Folks. We always love to have visitors come and dance with us. Along with Square Dancing we also offer Line Dancing, and Round Dancing

Good Afternoon to all! Just wanted to share the terrific time everyone had at the Western Promenaders’ Open House this past weekend. The purpose of the Open House was to introduce new “folk” to square dancing. And, last Saturday…was a huge success. We had couples….we had families with young children…and we had a great turn out of students from Berry College in Rome.
So much “energy”! Square dancing is always fun, but it’s amazing the “energy” generated when you have a group such as we had! Over 60 people; over 7 squares during Open House.
And, it was followed by our “Compliment Dance”, celebrating National Compliment Day. We invited the Open House attendees to stay, enjoy the dancing (so they could see how they’ll be dancing in a very short time) and partake of the pot-luck buffet provided by Club Members. Plus…..the fun we had “sharing compliments” with one another!

We always have a good time at our club. Such a group of friendly people. Lots of fun dancing and fun people to be with. You can't beat it.

There's a terrific dance scheduled this Saturday, February 8.
Dan Mitchel - who calls for Peachtree Squares and Wheel Arounds will be our Guest Caller. Lois Roberts will do Lines between tips. Hope we have a good crowd! I know we will have a good time!

OH! So sorry Saturday's (2-8) dance had to be canceled. Just enough bad weather to make it a concern for our guest caller (Dan Mitchell) to travel this distance and return home in the "wee" hours of the morning. Hopefully, Western Promenaders will have an opportunity to "rebook" him in the near future. Hope weather "is better" next weekend and we'll enjoy our "Sweets for the Sweet" dance and "cake" walk. See ya there!
